Question by Nine: I have the “Infamous” honda rust, and was asking if anyone knew approximately how much it would cost to repair?
I have honda rust, which is rust that accumulates on the rear quarter panels under the gas cap. The rust spot is not that big in size but it is deep and i know it will require man power. Im just looking for a rough estimate for anyone whose worked in a body shop or who paid to get rust work done before. Thanks!

you can do it yourself.. go get some rust preventive spray at autozone (it is kinda soapy clear stuff, it works wonders) anyhow, then buy a small sanding block and various grades of sand paper start with the lower grit, maybe 100 or more depending on how bad it is.. and get some bondo.. sand the spot down with the block, go from maybe 100 up to maybe 400 grit. then use the spray and spray the entire rust area, let it dry, then sipe some bondo on there, they have some premixed in a tube it’s like $ 5 smooth a little more than you know you need, and then sand it off with some high grit sand paper, maybe 600 grit.. get it smooth, then go get the color match paint at autozone or advanced auto will take the better part of a day..

Question by Tink: How much would it cost to repair power windows/locks on a 1996 honda civic?

It depends on why they aren’t working. If it is the motors, you can generally find them at a junk yard for pretty cheap and it isn’t too difficult to replace them. Aside from the cost of the motors, which are pretty high if you go new, the hardest part is removing the door handle without breaking any of the plastic clips.
However, it could also be the switches or some other electrical problem, so you may need to spend some time testing the circuits with a volt meter. Given that both the electric locks and the electric windows don’t work, it may be a wiring/electric problem.
It isn’t terribly difficult work and if you do it yourself, it could end up being less than $ 200. Otherwise, a mechanic is going to charge you a lot more, so make sure you do some calling around.

Question by lordbuggin_2000: how much repair cost for a clutch cable on a 86 Honda Civic?
Just trying to figure out how much the labor and parts will cost to replace the clutch cable in my 86 Honda Civic
Best answer:

The cable itself should be pretty cheap, maybe $ 30 – 40. I don’t believe labor is too extensive either. Maybe an hour or two at around $ 80/hour.

how much would it be to replace or repair if even possible?

Hate to say this, but there is no repairing a side wall puncture to a tire. Any one who says they can is only out to make a fast buck. You should be able to find a good used tire at any local tire shop for $ 25-$ 40. Install and old tire disposal will run extra, like $ 20.

Question by CheapGettingRich: How much will the tie rod cost to repair on a 1996 Honda Civic?
Best answer:
Answer by kl.equipment
the tie rod is $ 40-100 it depends on which one it is. then labor is going to cost about $ 150. don’t forget to get a alignment, thats probably $ 49-79. it all depends on where you go for the service. i would stay away from the dealership if at all possible. meineke is a good place for that.

Question by Riven: How much does it cost to repair a bent front wheel on a 91 Honda Accord?
The car hit a curb at about 30mph, the front passenger side wheel is now bent inwards about an inch. I had it looked at and it looks like the wheel, strut, lower arm control and break line need to be replaced. Could anyone give me any idea of how much this would cost for this car? I’m trying to go the cheapest way.
Best answer:
Answer by koma
if bent bad you need to just replace the wheel, if not it will leak and could cause a blow out. u can probably go to a used tire place to get another wheel or even a salvage/junk yard.
