I know Chilton’s is more expensive than Haynes, $ 30 versus $ 21….Usually the store will have them wrapped so you can’t preview what you are buying. which is better of the too? more info, more details, more pictures, more accurate. This is for my 2004 Honda Civic LX.

The best would be the factory service manual from the dealer. Chilton/haynes total amount of pages mounts to about less than an inch thick. The service manual just for your year of vehicle is about 2 to 3 inches thick. trust me, you can do alot more with the service manual, which in turn will save you money on doing your own repairs.

I have a honda walk behind mower that has a fuel flow problem. The gas wont stop. I comes out of the air cleaner and fills the piston chamber. I can see it spitting out of the exhaust when I start it. Cold it starts fine and when it warms up it dies and wont start until its cold again.

I have disassembled the carb and cleaned it out. There was a sizable amount of sediment. I assume there is a pictorial on the proper way to reassemble or how the items are reconnected. I believe i have something out of order or the float is not working correctly. If so I guess I also need a source for parts or repairs.

I love tinkering and I am taking on restoring a 1972 Honda CB500. I know enough to get it running but not enough to get it right. Where can i order or find the proper book i need to help know what i should be doing so i make sure its done right and its not just a rigged up piece of junk lol

There is a company from the U.K. called WHICH MANUAL. They can supply just about any manual you would like with the exception of a Daihatsu Sirion which only comes on CD

I want to do as much of my own maintenance as possible. So I’m looking for a good Clymer’s guide. I’ve looked on Amazon, but the latest version only goes up to 1999. Its for the CB750 not the 250 Nighthawk.

Any recommendations?

I an pretty sure Haynes printed one – you could do a web search on Haynes Manuals. Hope this helps.
