Ok so my car was stolen and the ignition was punched in. Now i have to turn on my car with a screw driver. i know ghetto right? anyway..i need to get it fixed and was wondering if anybody knew at about how much im looking to repair it?

If the part of the column that holds in the key switch is damaged, it’s a lot, because it means replacing your entire steering column.
The best idea is to get a used one from the local salvage yard, the price will be a whole lot lower. Very roughly, you are looking at $ 100 for the column. Installation is not that difficult, weekend mechanics can do it. Call your local salvage yard to get a price in your area.
If you live in the southwest, there is a yard where you can pull the part yourself, and even far more less than normal.
