Question by khanhpb: My 1993 Honda Accord has other problem right after taking from the repair shop. ?
I took my 1993 Honda Accord to the shop to replace the radiator.I came to pick it up.As soon as i arrived home i found out water spilled out on the road.I brought the car back to the shop. After checking it out mechanic lets me know that the water pump is broken.I don’t know if the mechanic, when replacing the radiator he used force too hard so the water pump cracked down.I really do not know.Anything related between water pump and radiator?

My first question is, are you sure the radiator was bad in the first place? And, how reputable is the shop were you took the car?

water pump and radiator are not related as far as the repair goes, they could have both been leaking but they should have said something after they replaced the radiator. a rad. leak will be up front by the grille, a water pump leak will be behind the left front tire.

It’s possible that if the radiator was leaking, now that it’s been replaced, the cooling system is able to build pressure as it warms, which is normal. The pressure may cause other leaks to show up now.
