First off, I tack one star off of this product merely because of the price tag. It is slightly expensive for just a big hunk of plastic. However I did not buy from Amazon. If you do some research you’ll find it elsewhere for a tad bit cheaper.
Anyway, this is a great addition to your Honda Fit. If you want to be able to store things in your trunk without weirdos looking in your windows to see what you’ve got back there, then get this. I’d like to be able to say that owning this will lessen the chances of theft of your personal belongings stored in the trunk because it hides your goods.
Installation is really simple, complete with instructions. The frame of the back seat has rods that are pre-drilled where you actually insert the screws in so don’t believe you are just putting screws into the cushion. The cargo cover is also easy to remove. Be advised that when it is installed the magic seat configuration is limited to only pulling the seat cushions up. You could push the seats down when this is installed but you’d have to remove the snaps and would look kind of silly. But it is a good thing that this is easy to remove when you need to use the magic seats.
It’s just a shame that these do not come with any ’09 models of the Honda Fit… But to be able to protect your belongings for a bit over $100, I say it’s worth it in the long run.
